ACT Swine Flue Cases Rise to 10

After two more people were recently diagnosed with swine flu in the ACT, the total number of cases in the region rose to 10.

ACT Health said on Monday that a 29-year-old woman and a 21-year old man who had been in contact with another confirmed case were the last two to be infected with the disease.

People who have been in contact with the man have been offered anti-viral medication and have been told to self-quarantine.

ACT Health has also been trying to contact people who have been in contact with the woman.

A 19-year-old man was diagnosed with the flu H1N1 virus last Saturday.
"The man was confirmed following attendance at the new Influenza Assessment Centre (IAC)," a statement wrote.

Presently the ACT's swine flu alert level rests at contain.
