You can visit the Parliament House situated in the Parliamentary Triangle in Canberra to get an insight into where all the most important decisions are made in the country.
When you arrive you can ask any questions you may have at the free guide service for visitors. You can also join free guided tours of Parliament House that are conducted regularly.
If you are interested, you can also observe Question Time, which is held at 2pm every day in the House of Representatives.
Make sure you book tickets if you wish to attend by phoning (02) 6277 4889 before 12.45pm the day you wish to come. Tickets can be collected between 1.15pm and 1.45pm from the Cloak Room near the House of Representatives Chamber.
However you don't have to book for Question Time in the Senate. You are also able to view the proceedings of the Senate from the Public Galleries in the Chambers whenever the Houses are in session, and you are also able to visit the Public Galleries.
