The National Zoo and Aquarium, Canberra, has a wonderful display of both animals on land and sea. In the zoo you can see some of the world's most grand animals such as lions, tigers and bears.
The zoo boasts Australia's largest collection of big cats. You can even get up close and play with one of the safest big cats, the cheetah with the 'Meet a Cheetah' deal.
But if that's not enough, come and join the ZooVenture Tour and try your hand at feeding the lions and tigers. There's also the opportunity to have a 400kg bear lick honey off your hands.
Also at the Canberra zoo are Australia's native species including kangaroos and koalas. At the Aquarium you can enjoy an array of colourful fish, rays and ferocious sharks.
Some other activities you can participate in at the park include viewing entertainment programs and wildlife shows. Popular displays at the Canberra animal attraction are the Australian Animals, Interactive Displays, Safari Displays and Dangerous Animal Shows.
If you're coming from out of town, make the most of your experience at the National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra and get yourself a return day package.
