The National Archives of Australia is the nation's record keeper that holds millions of files - from paper files to film footage, sound recordings, electronic records, letters, maps and plans that document Australian history and shape its identity. All this sits on 350km of shelf space in its Parkes location in Canberra.

Documentation includes stories about Indigenous Australians, immigration, citizenship, war, sport, the arts, natural disasters, both ordinary and famous identities and public works.
